Body, oh my god, what am I doing wrong?
First the hypomania, then a burst of hallucinations when I was trying to read before bed last night, and then the second I turned off my kindle, I had to stumble as quickly as I could to the bathroom for a bout of vomiting—at two in the fucking morning. I’m lucky my girlfriend was still up so I could text her in something of a mild panic.
Here, body. I’ve called in to work (because what store wants a cashier who’s teetering on the edge of throwing up to work a full shift?), and I’m just going to lie here in bed with a trash can by my head, some 7up at hand, and netflix running stuff quietly on a dimmed screen so I can nap really easily. If I do that, will you please stop fucking me up? Just for a while?
I don’t know, honestly. I do want to do a prequel (which would explain how Jade [and everyone else] met Tavros and Aradia), but I haven’t thought about side stories. If people want me to write stories like that, they can vote for them when I open my you-readers-pick-what-I-write voting sessions. The first session is still open, so if there are still folks out there that want to vote for what I write after this first bit of work on the novels, go ahead and leave something in my ask box.
I have given it a lot of thought, really and truly, and I intend to continue! It’s a really fun thing to do, and I’m sad I’ve let it fall by the wayside. It’s due in part to me just a bit lazy this last while, but I haven’t done it these last few days I’ve had off because I’m in the middle of a hypomanic episode. When I’m hypomanic, I have such severe pressured speech that I just give up on talking when I can because it gets so fast and garbled, and my voice often breaks and gets squeaky because I forget to breathe.
I printed out the reading sheets for chapter four weeks ago, but I’d forgotten about them and the readings, so I really appreciate that you sent an ask about them! I’m going to try reading chapter four today, just to see if I can work past the pressured speech and give you good folks new something to listen to. Also because it’s a nice project to do because I don’t have to do any new writing or planning, so it’ll be a break from me trying (and failing a little because my brain won’t shut up long enough to work on just one thing) to plan out as much stuff as I am. Thank you again!
If you’re asking if I would ever do a crossover with FMA, there’s a 0% chance of that. I’m not good at crossovers, and I have a problem with doing really extensive non-canon stuff in a universe I’m working on as much as the Alchemystuck universe.
As for someone else doing a crossover, I’m going to make another blanket statement. Please don’t write fan fiction of my work. I’m already on the fence about leaving Frontierstuck online as I work on its adaptation, and I don’t want to ask anyone to take down anything if/when it gets published. That, and I’d feel really weird about it. So let’s keep that probability at 0% as well, okay?
My head is full of noise and shouting and music and it won’t shut the hell up. And I have so many things that I want to do and watch and just talk at people about all my ideas that I get paralyzed and exhausted just by sitting up in the morning after having had to take ambien to fall asleep.

I’m sorry. You both seem to have forgotten who exactly it was that Mag got involved with first in terms of all this porn. She wouldn’t have named me Rogue of Porn for nothing, after all. No particular reason; no current unhappiness or things weighing heavily on my mind. (Though I’d like to be writing, and maybe if I get drunk I’ll stop sitting on my hands and get down to this massive plethora of smut I have in mind.) I just want to get drunk.
Now, off to the store for vodka and raspberry lemonade.
I’m a lesbian, and a polyamorous one at that. Sexualities don’t necessarily have to be capitalized, but I’m not really one to enforce capitalization rules when Kanaya “I Will Capitalize Every Word I Type” Maryam is one of my favorite characters of all time.
As for making FS publishable…well, it all comes down to adaptation, honestly. It would be fairly easy to adapt it into an original work, if we just come down to the most basic of find-and-replace certain names and terms. The challenge—and the fun—of it is making it work as a cohesive original work all its own. This involves creating a new alien planet and society, all their subsequent designs and behavioral traits, and editing the story as it currently is in order to make it very tight and clean in terms of plotlines and character arcs.
I am being immodest when I say I think it’s a really great story and that it could work as an original piece. I’ve done a lot of hard work on it, and I’d like to see that effort focused into something that could be published under my own name.
So my resolution for last year was to cut all caffeine out of my life, as I have enough sleeping problems as is. It was a very good decision, and it helped me maintain a healthier sleep pattern.
However, I had to wake up at 6AM this morning to do an 8 hour drive, an hour of which was stuck in LA morning rush hour traffic, after about four hours of sleep the night before and sort of a shoddy (but willfully so) sleep schedule for the week beforehand. So once I got away from LA and hit the highway north, I said to myself, “Shit, I am dangerously groggy. Either I pull over and nap, or I bite the bullet and get me some energy drinks.”
I chose the latter and have had three drinks over the course of the day. (This was probably not a good idea in the first place, but I’d never had an energy drink until today.)
So while my body is completely trashed and I am wobbly on my feet, my brain is so fucking wired I can barely stand it. It’s really fortunate I have ambien to get me to sleep tonight, ‘cause I don’t think I’d be able to shut down if I didn’t have it.
…Then again, I spent most of my drive theorizing how I could adapt Frontierstuck into an original, publishable novel. There were some very cool ideas in there, and I totally think I could do it. (I have my girlfriend to thank for the idea to try and adapt it in the first place, so many kudos to her.)
I’m going to sit here like a boneless blob in my desk chair for the rest of the day, though I will do my best to work on some MONSTERstuck notes.

Oh my lord, was this a journey in writing.
Chapter 16 of Frontierstuck proved to be one of the hardest chapters I’ve written for the story, and one of the hardest chapters I’ve written in recent memory. Part of it was tied up heavily in personal issues, but it was also due to the fact that this is simply a very large story. There were a lot of plot threads to address, and I wanted to tie up a great many of them. I did quite a lot of planning for this story, but I am nothing if not…flexible in my planning. Here’s where I’m going to start talking about spoilers for the story (plus the explanation of what I’m doing next), so it’s off to a cut for us.
Chapter 16 of Frontierstuck: The Last Edge of the Frontier
In which hopes for the futures are stated; all hell breaks loose; a last stand is made; and Rose gains closure on many things before looking forward to a new journey.
When it is not ass o’clock and my head is not splitting, I will post the chapter to DA and then make a more coherent post about the chapter itself and what this ending means for Frontierstuck on the whole.
